Different 50cc Dirt Bikes for Young Racers

Dirt Bikes For Kids - 50cc dirt bikes, also known as mini dirt bikes, are a popular choice for kids who enjoy riding dirt bikes or are into motocross racing. These bikes are perfect for beginner riders and are usually designed for 4-12 year olds. Of course, different 50cc dirt bikes have different levels of bhp (break horse power).

For instance, there are 50cc dirt bikes that have 2bhp, 3bhp and 9bhp (the higher the bhp the more powerful the engine). That being the case, the better choice for a four year old would be a 50cc dirt bike that had 2bhp. These models have a low seat height, which makes it fun and easy to handle for a child, and also makes it safe.

On the other hand, a more experienced young racer may enjoy 50cc dirt bikes with 9bhp. This is a far more serious model, and is less for "garden" use and more for racing.

When purchasing 50cc dirt bikes for your child, or purchasing another model for an adult, you need to understand that different models were made to cater to different weights. That being the case, you should go to a dealership and try the dirt bike out before you even think about purchasing it. You will discover that every bike has its own center of gravity. If you can't easily place a bike into its upright position from the kickstand, then the dirt bike is obviously beyond your physical limitations.

To give you an idea of the difference between beginner dirt bikes for kids and beginner dirt bikes for older teens and adults, while a child requires 50cc dirt bikes, an adult usually requires 250cc.
