Basic bike setup.

It's important to have good fitness to ride a motocross or dirtbike. But no matter how fit you are, if the dirtbike is no setup properly you can do it tough each time you ride.

From grips to bar height, lever position to setting race sag. Get it sorted early and you can ride for longer.

Stock suspension is fairly good today so setting your bikes compression and rebound clickers for your riding style can be of huge benefit before you ride.

Basically your motocross or dirtbike suspension can be divided in two halves:

  1. first half or initial travel which works quickly to absorb the smaller bumps.
  2. and the second half or full travel that is used to soak up the big hits.

By using video or a friend to watch how your dirtbike handles bumps you can adjust the suspension to get a better ride allowing you to ride stronger, faster for longer!.
